Since completion of his Neurology Residency and Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York in 1992, Dr. Oribe has been practicing neurology in New York where he has been Chief of Neurology at various hospitals.

Dr. Oribe is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill-Cornell Medical College of Cornell University where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award. He also holds appointments at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York Hospital Queens, and Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens in Astoria.

He has served as president of the Spanish American Medical and Dental Society of New York and is a recipient of the Hispanic Health Leadership Award from the National Hispanic Medical Association, Washington D.C., and of the Citation of Honor, from the Borough of Queens.

Dr. Oribe’s strong background in clinical neurology is complemented by his recognized expertise on disorders of the autonomic nervous system and syncope.  He is co-author of a textbook, The Autonomic Nervous System (1997), and has published various scientific publications in the field of autonomic neurology. He is board-certified in both Neurology and Internal Medicine.   Dr. Oribe is fluent in Spanish and French.

Dr. Oribe sees patients in the Manhattan and Astoria offices.
